Why the Yoga Studio Website?
You might be wondering why our travel blog is hosted on the Yoga by the Sea website. The answer is simple. Since I need to do this blog for school, I thought, why not use a platform I'm already managing? Plus, it’s a great way for you to get to know me and my life philosophy better.
Yoga teaches us to embrace new experiences, stay grounded in the present, and find balance in all aspects of life. These principles perfectly align with our journey, guiding us as we travel through Canada and beyond. Additionally, while many talented instructors teach at the studio, I'm the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. I answer questions about classes, payments, schedules and provide recommendations and post on our social media accounts. My hope is that this blog can help maintain the studio's community spirit and connects yoga and family with travel and adventures.
About Us:
I'm Pernilla, a single mother with a passion for defying expectations and embracing the unknown. Alongside me is my fearless daughter, Luna, whose love for gymnastics and zest for life inspire me every day.
Luna, at the age of six, is eager to dive headfirst into her first Canadian summer vacation. From exploring new parks and playgrounds to tasting local Canadian delicacies, Luna's excitement knows no bounds as she immerses herself in the wonders of this new land. With her gymnastics journey ahead, Luna eagerly anticipates the challenges and triumphs that await her on Canadian soil.
As for me, I wear many hats – I'm the proud owner of a yoga studio, a part-time firefighter, and currently in my final year of nursing school at Lund University in Sweden. Balancing these diverse roles keeps life exciting and constantly teaches me new lessons about resilience, perseverance, and the beauty of embracing every moment.

In New York, we'll soak in the vibrant culture and iconic landmarks, setting the stage for the adventures to come. From there, our path leads us to Hamilton, where my nursing internship awaits. As I focus on expanding my skills and knowledge in healthcare, Luna will continue to soak in the sights and sounds of Canadian summer, making memories that will last a lifetime.
