A Home away from Home

How do we increase compassion?

"Beloveds, each morning we are asked to take a

moral stand on the side of love.

May we find the courage and compassion to love like the sun,

to generate love in abundance for a world that sorely needs it.
Each time that I facilitate conversations on systemic oppression and solidarity,

I am struck anew at how programmed we are to defensiveness and denial.

Each time, my challenge is to love, simply love.

We are not machines, broken and in need of fixing.

We are wounded warriors in the struggle of life

and we need, each of us,

compassionate love to call us to our whole and holy selves.
May we wake each day with the mission to generate love in this world

as humbly and faithfully as the sun generates light.

May we trust that we can lean on each other for comfort

when the struggle is relentless.

May we know in the bones of our bones that we are not alone.

May this knowledge give us the courage

to shine the light of compassion on everyone.

No exceptions."

Starting your Yoga Journey

Pilates & Restorative Yoga

This is a fun, approachable combination class that starts with mat-based Pilates — gentle exercises designed to strengthen your core, improve posture, and awaken your body’s natural alignment. Don’t worry if you’ve never done Pilates before; instructions and modifications are given for all levels.

The class then flows into restorative yoga, where we use props and slow, supported poses to stretch and release tension. Your mind gets a chance to relax, your back and wrists are cared for, and your whole body feels nurtured.

Suitable for: Beginners, anyone looking for a mindful movement practice, and those with back problems or weak wrists. You’ll leave the cozy studio feeling stronger, calmer, and ready to enjoy your evening.

Hatha

A slower-paced form of yoga compared with Vinyasa and Ashtanga, Hatha focuses less on building physical strength and more on stretching, alignment, and mindful movement. Classes often incorporate breathing exercises and techniques to help calm the mind and improve body awareness.

Suitable for: Beginners, anyone looking for a gentler practice, or those who want to focus on flexibility, relaxation, and connecting with their breath.

Vinyasa

A flowing yoga class where movement and breath are linked in a continuous sequence. Each class is slightly different — teachers combine the traditional asanas (poses) into sequences that can vary in pace, intensity, and style. This means the experience can feel dynamic and energizing one day, or slower and more mindful another, depending on the teacher and focus.

Vinyasa is a well-loved yoga form suitable for everyone, but it’s important to find a teacher and class pace that match your needs and energy. Check the class description to see whether a session is more dynamic or gentle.

Suitable for: Yogis of all levels, including beginners, who enjoy moving with breath and exploring different sequences.

Yin

In Yin Yoga, you allow your muscles to fully relax while holding each posture for several minutes. This slow, mindful approach targets the fascia, the connective tissue that can become stiff and limit movement, helping it soften and improve flexibility over time. Each pose is typically held for 3–5 minutes, giving you space to calm the mind, release tension, and nurture your spirit.

Suitable for: Beginners and experienced yogis alike, anyone looking to slow down, stretch deeply, and cultivate presence and relaxation.

Ashtanga

Inspired by the Ashtanga Primary Series, these classes follow a structured sequence, starting with standing postures and moving into a few seated poses. The focus is on your individual ability, with verbal guidance and hands-on adjustments to help you find proper alignment, build strength, and deepen your practice safely. Adjustments are offered gently and supportively, making it easier to explore the postures with confidence.

We offer both Ashtanga-inspired classes and those taught by teachers trained directly in line with the traditional guru-led method. Some classes may include creative variations, while others follow the classical sequence closely, providing consistency and progression over time.

Suitable for: Beginners who want structured guidance, as well as more advanced practitioners looking to refine their alignment, flow, and overall body awareness.

Sound Healing

Experience the calming and restorative power of sound. In these sessions, gentle vibrations from singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other instruments are used to help the body and mind relax, release tension, and restore balance. Lying or sitting comfortably, you’ll be guided through a sound journey that encourages deep relaxation, presence, and inner stillness.

Suitable for: Everyone, including beginners, those looking to reduce stress, improve sleep, or simply immerse themselves in a meditative and soothing experience.

Breathwork

Have you ever noticed how powerful a single breath can be? In this class, you’ll learn to breathe consciously, releasing tension, calming your mind, and awakening energy you didn’t even know was there. No experience needed—just a willingness to explore and feel.

This is more than a class; it’s a gentle, safe space to discover how your own breath can transform your body, mind, and mood. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, balanced, and connected to yourself in a whole new way.

Suitable for: Complete beginners, curious minds, or anyone looking to slow down, release stress, and try something transformative.
